About us

Kunstwerk Kolderveen is an initiative of Edward Clydesdale Thomson, Priscila Fernandes and Loes Heebink. It was initiated from the desire to support local, national, and international artistic production by offering a space and tools for artists to produce artworks at an affordable price.

Located in Drenthe, Kunstwerk Koldeveen aims at providing exchange and networking for Drentse artists by bringing national and international art professionals to the area, facilitating moments of exchange.

Edward Clydesdale Thomson & Priscila Fernandes are visual artists, with a decade of experience in running an art in residency program at Het Wilde Weten in Rotterdam, as well as Heads of Department of BEAR, the Fine Art BA of ArtEZ University of the Arts, in Arnhem.

Loes Heebink lives and works as a visual artist since the 1980s in Drenthe as home base, with national and international exhibitions and residency experience. She was the initiator of the Artist in Residence program KiK, where the new initiative Kunstwerk Kolderveen now takes place.
